| Jacob Green is the oldest child of Robin Adams and a muggle, Liam Green. His parents had originally planned not to tell him about the magical world in case he never got his letter, but at this stage Robin was still working with dragons and that type of thing is pretty hard to hide, even from a child. He ended up having quite an odd childhood where he knew magic existed but everything was a secret, and anything he did know he couldn't tell anyone else about. When his Hogwarts letter finally arrived his parents rejoiced because finally everything was out in the open and Robin could talk to him about her world. So obviously he set off to Hogwarts with particularly high hopes. When he arrived he found that he had no real problem with the work but despite his efforts, he couldn't seem to make many friends. He was always cripplingly shy. The only person he knew before was Faith Black and she was in the year above him, so while he could hang around with her half of the time, while he was in lessons he was on his own. Obviously, the start of his Hogwarts life was not a brilliant one. Luckily, things picked off in the form of his first flying lesson. It was pretty clear that he had an instant talent and before long he was on the team as a chaser. When he was flying he felt suddenly happy, like all the problems he was having didn't really matter. He practised constantly, always getting better, and now he wants nothing more than to keep playing quidditch for the rest of his life. These days the friend situation is a least a little better and he has some ability to talk to people, even girls, although it is a little stuttery and awkward. | ||
